Write for us
Rural Daily Bulletin welcomes original pitches about resourceful country life: ways to use familiar places well, share skills, make materials last or enjoy time without unnecessary expense. A proposal should offer readers a clear idea they can adapt.
What makes a good pitch
Send a concise outline of the central idea, why it belongs here and what a reader will take away. Name the specific angle and explain how it differs from familiar advice. We favour self-contained, evergreen subjects that do not depend on statistics, first-hand testing or local regulations.
Writing and originality
We look for accurate, readable writing with concrete examples and a resourceful point of view. Pitches must be original and must not invent people, expertise or evidence. Disclose relevant commercial interests and tell us if a proposal has been offered elsewhere.
How to send a proposal
Send your pitch through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a short description of the proposed piece and any relevant writing sample details in your message. A proposal is not a promise of publication.
Start with what is already here
A useful idea need not begin with a purchase. Rural Daily Bulletin looks for the value in local materials, shared know-how and familiar places.
